Fb, which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp, has apologised for the disruption, which it blamed on a “faulty configuration change”.
In a lengthy statement it reported: “Our engineering teams have learned that configuration adjustments on the backbone routers that coordinate community site visitors in between our knowledge centres brought about issues that interrupted this communication.
