WASHINGTON—The U.S. intelligence community publicly verified it is seeking to identify regardless of whether the coronavirus could have escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, the town exactly where the pandemic began.
In an abnormal public assertion, the Workplace of the Director of Countrywide Intelligence, or ODNI, also stated that U.S. intelligence agencies concur with the wide scientific consensus that “the Covid-19 virus was not manmade or genetically modified.”
