Ottawa Police Tow Trucks, Arrest Freedom Convoy Protesters

OTTAWA—Police moved in on protesters below Friday, towing heavy-responsibility vehicles and generating dozens of arrests as they started clearing a 22-working day demonstration towards Covid-19 vaccine mandates that has paralyzed the capital’s downtown and motivated blockades of critical U.S.-Canada border crossings.

Interim Ottawa police main Steve Bell said Friday afternoon that officers were being in management of the problem on the floor, and “will go on to push ahead to very clear our streets.”
