SOPA asks govt to maintain existing duty structure on soyoil

The Soybean Processors Affiliation of India (SOPA) has urged the Governing administration to sustain the present responsibility composition on soybean oil and sunflower seed oil.

In a letter to Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce and Market, Davish Jain, Chairman of SOPA, stated that the countries exporting edible oil normally choose advantage of India’s posture as the 2nd greatest importer. The reduction in customs responsibility in India is, most of the time, negated by both an enhance in edible oil price by the exporters or by a levy of export tax by the authorities in the exporting region, he stated.
