Centre allays fears of fertiliser shortage

Trying to get to allay worries over fertiliser scarcity, Union Minister for Chemical substances and Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya has stated that the availability of the vitamins and minerals will surpass needs lifted by the States and Union Territories. He has also appealed to farmers not to hoard fertilisers.

Mandaviya reviewed the availability targets of fertilisers for November with officials in Delhi on Monday and denounced the scarcity promises, according to a ministry statement.

Materials to surpass demand from customers

Whilst the demand from customers for urea is 41 lakh tonnes, seventy six lakh tonnes of urea will be created offered, the statement stated. Likewise, 18 lakh tonnes of DAP will be created offered versus a projected demand from customers of 17 lakh tonnes. Availability of thirty lakh tonnes of NPK will surpass the demand from customers of fifteen lakh tonnes, the Ministry stated.
